I would like to welcome you to the Youth Page of First Baptist Church. We have a full program for teens in grades 7 -12. Our program strives to provide not only a safe place for teens to fellowship and recreate, but also a place for them to find God’s Divine plan for their lives. I would like to invite you to come and see for yourself what God is doing in our youth program.
The Youth Ministry of First Baptist is open to all teenagers who want to learn more about Christ and have fun with others.

YOUTH NEWS
Youth Christmas Party- This year’s Christmas Party will be on December 6th at 6pm. We will meet at First Baptist Church and go on a Video Scavenger Hunt. Each team will be given a list of things to video in an allotted amount of time. If you come, you will have fun! There will be food, fellowship, and prizes. We are also looking for some adults to drive and use video cameras. If you would be available, please let Larry know.
High School and Singles Ski Retreat- This year our Ski Retreat will be at Winterplace in West Virginia. It will be January 2nd and 3rd and the cost will be $150. This will get you 2 days of skiing, one night’s lodging and ski rentals. Spots are limited and a $50 deposit is due by December 3rd. We will depart for FBCD at 8 am sharp on January 2 and return late on January 3rd. Lodging will be in a hotel and you will need money for meals.
Middle School Snowday-
All 6th – 8th graders are invited to Ober Gatlinburg on January 10th. The cost is $20. This will cover transportation, sky tram, ice skating, alpine slide, bungee run, and the scenic chairlift. Lunch is on your own. If you would like to ski or snow board it will cost extra. The dead like to sign up is December 28th. Bring a friend and come along!!
Mission Trip-
With a chill in the air you may only be dreaming about the summer, but we are planning now for our Youth Summer Mission Trip. On June 6-12 we will be taking a mission team to Savannah, Georgia. This team will be attending Power Plant. Power Plant is a mission program sponsored by the North American Mission Board. The time will go through mission training each morning, work with church planters doing sports camps and Mission VBS. Being a part of this team will not be easy. We ask each of you to begin praying now. We will be meeting soon to give more information. Space is limited so sign up now.
Student Day at Christmas-
On December 28th we will be celebrating our college students. We are looking for singers, musicians, speakers, testimonies, prayers, even folks to take up the offering as a part of our Sunday Evening Worship Service.
